ABOUT JACK KROWIAK
"Heavy duty rock and roll
Brings out the duty in my soul”
- Spinal Tap, “Heavy Duty”
Jack Krowiak (pronounced Krow-vee-ack), is an eclectic producer who believes that the best music producers are those who use their skills to elevate the natural performance and talent of the artists they work with.
Originally a classically trained trombonist before branching out into more contemporary styles, Jack has an extensive and diverse musical background that affords him a unique perspective in the producer’s chair. His formal training as a singer and performer of more than a half dozen instruments gives him a high level of awareness and adaptability in a broad variety of studio situations. Additionally, his naturally high pitch sensitivity and studies in both classical and contemporary music theory give him the ability to quickly learn and bring to life any idea a client may put in front of him. His arranging skills are informed by his experiences in orchestral and contemporary composition, as well as firsthand knowledge of numerous instruments including trombone, guitar, bass, and drums.
Jack is most inspired by the music of the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s– above all, classic rock. His all-time favorite artist is Queen, whose music rides the line between disciplined sound and emotional impact in a way that has inspired generations, and has helped shape Jack’s own philosophy towards music. Other artists that greatly inspire Jack are the Beatles, the Who, Green Day, and Led Zeppelin. Often, he enjoys a touch of humor in music, so he also looks up to artists like “Weird Al” Yankovic as well.
Years of training and participation in various ensembles under one of the largest high school performing arts programs in the country have taught Jack the meaning of professionalism. He prides himself on being cordial and pleasant to work with, and it is of great importance to him that he leaves a positive impression on everyone he works with by respecting their time and their talents.
Currently a student at Berklee College of Music, Jack is majoring in Music Production and Engineering, where he’s building and sharpening his skills and gaining the experience he needs to succeed as a producer. He is also minoring in Teaching Artistry as he loves sharing his passion for performing and producing with others.
Jack is working to combine the traits and skills he developed pre-Berklee with the technological know-how and studio experience he is gaining now. His number one goal is to support and bring to life the creative visions of artists he works with. He feels greatly honored to study under Berklee’s prestigious Music Production and Engineering department, and considers making it into the program the most important accolade of his now decade-long journey as a musician. He is expected to conclude his studies and graduate from Berklee after the spring semester of 2027.
